Laser For Spider Veins
Laser therapy is most effective for very small spider veins. During laser treatment, a laser is applied to the skin over spider veins. Laser energy heats spider veins causing them to coagulate and shrink. Two to four treatments may be required for optimum results at six to eight week interval to get desired results.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy involves injecting a liquid agent through a tiny needle directly into your small feeder veins and spider veins, damaging their inner lining that result in collapse of the treated segments. Expect that two to four sclerotherapy sessions at six to eight weeks intervals may be necessary to achieve your desired results. Pressure stocking are worn for one week post procedure.
Phlebectomy
This procedure is meant for larger, wiggly, and ropy veins that are prominently visible on the legs. These varicose veins are ideally treated by making tiny nick and then taking out the segment of he vein with crochet hook under local anesthetic. This procedure is simple and almost pain free.
